Last night I did a little diy on a bland boring t shirt.
I cut the back of the shirt up at the side seams and across at the bottom of the arm pit.
I then took this fabulous leopard print material and cut a rectangle that was a little longer than the front.
Pinned it and sewed it across the upper back from arm pit to arm pit.
Then down on both side seams.
I removed the front pocket and cut out a new one out of the leopard print and resewed that in the same place that old one was.
I then cut the new leopard back into a round hem and sewed a small hem.
After trying the shirt on I decided that I needed to redo the sleeves. So I sewed a larger stitch down the sleeves from the shoulder seam and Ruched it up and then stitched it down with a regular stitch.
Can’t wait to wear it tonight at comedy!
Its a total repeat outfit, but its been a long week and I was exhausted. I was even in bed before 10 pm last night!
My hair is froofy due to the weather and just didn’t want to think about what to wear so I threw this together. I’m just happy its Friday, because tonight its DIY night at my house with my good friend! I have a sewing project I’m working on right now.
TGIF!! Have a lovely day!

Yesterdays outfit was inspired by my little sister and a bit of Brigitte Bardot. I love a good 60’s Mad men style outfit on occasion. Its a little more office friendly than 40’a or 50’s style in my opinion.
I saw my sister pair a peplum with a blouse over the weekend and I never thought do it myself so I tried and I LOVE it, its a great way to wear a sleeveless peplum in these still chilly spring days!

Im back, I decided to take a break for a few and focus on some other things in life!
Here’s what I wore today. I’m just glad its warming up a bit here and I get to wear fun shoes. I kept it kind of simple today and jazzed up my makeup a bit
Hope you all are having a lovely day!

Sorry I’ll be back online this week! Was sick over the weekend and trying to play catch up!
I hope your weather is as nice as mine is today! Its all sunshiney, although we are to expect rain later this afternoon.
I’m wearing the rain boots again, just to keep my feet dry, and they are kinda cute!
I’m also wearing my new DIY graphic sweater and new DIY skirt(this is the reversible one.)
The graphic turned out decent, definitely learned some do’s and don’t’s while attempting this, but I like it. Didn’t cost me much at all, and I for sure will be giving it a second try.

Quick post today! It’s super busy at work, but I did want to share my outfit today!
For those of you who will ask how I did my hair. I curled the ends, pulled it back into a ponytail. Took one strand and wrapped it around my hair tie, and bobby pinned in place. Then I took a small clear elastic hair tie and put it in about 2-3 inches down and then loosened up the top part between the hair ties. It’s a fun take on a classic pony tail!

“Spring, the sweet spring, is the year’s pleasant king, then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring, cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!”
Hello my lovelies!
I don’t know what your weather looks like, but today I feel a hint of spring on it’s way. Nothing makes me happier than being able to put on my rain boots, and maybe reverting to the child inside of me and enjoying splashing through the puddles!
I paired my favorite rain boots with my new DIY skirt I made over the weekend and a chambray!
Chambray: Rue 21
Necklace: Forever 21
I’m also wearing my new Julep lipgloss in the color enchanted.
Enjoy your day!
P.S. Check out my little sisters blog and see how she styled some of my clothes this week !
Today I thought I’d talk about one of the spring trends that was seen on the Runways during fashion week, wavy hair.
I personally LOVE wavy hair and in fact it’s my go to look all summer long. The waves that rocked the runway( sorry, bad pun) this season were more loose and natural looking than the beachy look of last season.
As you can see, last season was more structured and full, takes a little more time( unless you are blessed with wavy hair already) whereas this season it’s more easily attained by braiding your hair. You can do two pigtail plaits, or go fancy and do two French braid plaits, or even one French braid, or like I’m about to show you, a crown braid. What’s great about this style is you can sleep in it, and just take it out the next morning and save yourself a lot of time doing your hair before work!
Check out my very first video ever and learn how I do a crown braid!
(note: I sprayed it one more time after I finished braiding with the same sea salt spray)
And here’s the final look this morning!
I fluffed it out, and then used some of the same salt spray and styled it. It’s seriously one of the easiest and quickest ways to do my hair and it looks great all day! Try this fun spring trend yourself, and if you are not quite ready to tackle the crown braid, you can always do regular braids! Also, I prefer braids to a triple barrel iron, I think the triple barrel looks way too 80’s!
Have a lovely day!
Hope your Monday is going well. Mines very busy, so I’m typing this up on my lunch! I spent the morning shoveling well over 5 inches of snow, so no outfit post, but I will share with you a few things!
First off, I won this AWESOME Rebecca Minkoff Purse last night! I reposted and tagged a photo on Instagram last week and lo and behold, I won! Can’t wait for this beauty to arrive in the mail!
My Sunday Funday was filled with DIYs since the weather looked like this
I made fresh banana bread( although my dang oven is very annoying and it got a little browner than I wanted, baking is NOT my forte) it was still delish once you cut off the darker parts.
I also picked up jersey knit to make some pencil skirts for work. I got my material for under $30 and got three skirts with leftovers to make a few turbands and maybe a addition to a shirt.
Then I bought a sweater and started this little graphic saying shirt
And last but not least, I updated my chalkboard for March! I love having a chalkboard in my kitchen to draw on. Although my talent is nowhere near my friends, it’s a learning process
Hope you all had a lovely weekend and a smooth Monday, keep your eyes open for the styling of my new skirts and of my new purse when I get it!!
